Bethany Rutsay

Bethany Rutsay is a Licensed Independent Social Worker - Clinical Practice. She received both her Bachelor of Social Work and her Master of Social Work from Aurora University. Bethany has been working in the mental health field since 1997, and has experience working with clients of all ages facing a variety of mental health concerns. Bethany provides an integrated approach that includes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She also has experience working with many disorders such as Anxiety and Depression, and with Stress/Frustration Tolerance.
Bethany believes that clients need a clinician they can trust to actively listen and reflect their thoughts in confidence. She engages clients through empathy, humor, and a direct and non-judgmental approach to create a safe, nurturing environment and establish a trusting relationship. Bethany considers it an honor to support clients as they learn about themselves, their relationships, and learn to cope with life’s stressors. She appreciates the opportunity to work together with her clients to identify their personal strengths, learn to communicate effectively with others, problem-solve, make healthy choices, self-advocate, and set attainable goals and appropriate boundaries.
